Friendly and encouraging classes to suit all levels of skill and ages from 16+.
Class size is limited to 8-10 students per session so that everyone has plenty of one on one time with their teacher.
Block bookings available for private tutoring.
Day begins at 10am and will go on until everyone is finished, usually around 4:30-5pm.
It can help for you to come with an idea of what you’d like to make as the designing can sometimes take the longest! Not to worry though, if you are lacking in inspiration I have lots of lovely books here to help you with ideas.
Please bring a savoury dish for a ‘bring and share’ lunch. Or you are welcome to go out if you’d rather of course!
Please note the course cost does not include the cost of the silver. Payment for the silver can be made on the day (if paying by card there is a small charge) and how much you use will depend on what you make. As a guide: if you go for fairly light pieces you can make a ring for approx £3 – £8, a pendant, brooch or earrings for £5 – £20 or a bangle or chain for £10 – £45. This can be more if you go for large chunky pieces.
The day is held at my fully equipped silversmithing studio @ unit 4, 14 Kings Square, Bristol BS2 8JJ. At the top of the square (Dove Street South) to the left of llewellyn gears reception is a cream door with 1-18 new square units on it, press my buzzer for entry. (Please see attached document for a map and travel information).
